Why I am Running…
I have been a resident of Sun Prairie living in District 4 the last 25 years, and I have enjoyed watching the city grow while watching my 3 children do the same. I have enjoyed participating in community athletics and activities with many of you and then supporting, coaching and umpiring many of your children to hopefully make their experiences just a little more enjoyable.
I am a lifelong resident of Wisconsin, graduating from the strong farming community of Pulaski, Wisconsin, all-conference in baseball, and contributing to the State Championship game in football. I graduated from UW-Whitewater, where I also played for the football and track teams! I majored in Management Computer Systems with a minor in Computer Science, but my original love was Political Science.
My professional life has been in Information Technology, managing teams and initiatives in the Insurance industry for 22 years, and for the State of Wisconsin the most recent 12 years.
I am now ready to continue to make this city a great place to live, grow, play and work. I will hear the interests of each of my neighbors and friends in District #4, and represent them on City Council.
What you Can Expect…
District 4: I will see that the interests of my District are considered by City Council. I will be available as a source for my District residents to bring issues to City Council or to direct them to the appropriate entity within City government even if out of my jurisdiction. I will ensure that decisions made by the City Council are communicated or available to the residents of my District.
Growth: I will support this city’s continued rapid growth in a smart way. Growth should be designed to ensure a faster growth in tax revenue with a corresponding slower growth in the cost to support the city government. Costs must include maintaining strong City services to keep the entire community safe, prosperous, and clean!
Inter-relationships: I will see that City Council is using an approach of sound research and community interest to make decisions, with respect to costs, benefits and inter-relationships of the varying interests of all Districts and residents.
